These are the two photos that came out well using my DSLR. The pictures in the previous post were taken using my iphone. I need to get a camera lens that will allow me to shoot in low light without having to slow down the shutter speed too much and therefore not end up with a lot of blurry pictures.

Photos of Dunlin NYC
For Bare Magazine, I wrote a blog post about Dunlin, a leather purse designer and manufacturer based in NYC. I'm really proud of this post because of how amazingly the photos came out! I was worried about the low light environment inside the store and not capturing the ambiance correctly because I would need to use flash. However, I was able to photograph the products while using flash without lighting up the shot too much! I was honestly surprised at how I really was able to get the dark, mysterious, late 1800s in London during the crime reign of Jack the Ripper feel! (I know, that sounds absolutely terrible, but it really does describe the way that store felt! Almost as if it's a store where Sweeney Todd characters would shop for purses and handbags.)

Anyway, here is the link: http://blog.baremagazine.org/2010/07/nyc-boutique-review-dunlin.html
I didn't mean to toot my own horn. I am just so happy at how much I've been improving and growing as a photographer of various styles! I can't wait to see where I am next year, five years from now, and even ten years down the line! Actually SEEING my improvement really encourages me to keep practicing and experimenting! I'm so excited for what the future has in store!

NYC Street Style Photography
I went to NY for a little over a week. It was just a trip to hang out with some friends. However, I decided to ask the Bare editors if I could send them Street Style pictures of fashionable people from NYC (particularly the Manhattan and Brooklyn areas to take initiative and make my trip really productive! The Creative Director, Jordan Silver, and the Blog Editor, Brittany Curran, okay-ed my idea!
Here's the first of the series: http://blog.baremagazine.org/2010/06/street-style-rainy-day-in-nyc.html
